Cameron Development Corporation was originally founded in 1979 as a privately held Edmonton real estate development and investment organization. It is one of the most active commercial development companies in the Alberta market, having successfully developed:

• A number of power shopping centres and various grocery-anchored sites over 100,000 square feet
• One of the first power centres in the City of Edmonton, a 400,000 square-foot project located in Clareview
• South Edmonton Common, a 320-acre power centre consisting of over 2.3 million square feet of retail space and the largest open-air retail project in Canada
• A 550,000 square-foot power centre in Eastern Canada (Thunder Bay, Ontario)
