The Analyst, Investments reports to the Vice President, Investments. The role requires strong analytical knowledge, understanding of the acquisition, leasing, development and sales process as well as marketing and presentation skills.
Complete detailed proforma and acquisition models for potential acquisitions of income-producing properties, to support a go/no recommendation to Executive
Complete detailed proforma and development models for existing and new development opportunities, including retail, non-retail commercial and mixed use projects for use by management and Executive.
Create and maintain reporting for performance of new acquistions to allow reporting to internal and external stakeholders, with input and support from VP Investments and VP Finance
Maintain and update proforma for existing development projects
Use ARGUS, EXCEL and other software tools to ensure reporting is professional in content and presentation
Act as point of contact for ARGUS software, with support as necessary from corporate IT
Assist VP Investments in all aspects of non-financial underwriting of potential acquisitions including
Preparation of lease summaries
Review and summarize existing inspection and technical reports (ESA, BCA, geotechnical)
Review and summarize existing building income, expense and recovery reports
Work closely with asset and property management, as well as construction and design departments, to obtain internal expert review as required
Together with VP Investments, act as point of contact for external parties such as broker or Vendor, to request and obtain materials for due diligence
Coordinate and prepare summary report, with oversight from VP Investments, to present to Executive
Prepare written content for leasing brochures
Work with design team and marketing staff to complete brochures for non-retail commercial projects
Attend leasing tours for agents and prospects with VP, Investments
Act as secondary contact for leasing enquiries on non-retail commercial projects
Maintain checklist of necessary approvals to ensure leasing process is coordinated with other internal departments
As required, update and prepare materials, such as corporate profile, for presentations to internal and external stakeholders
Prepare PowerPoint presentations for prospective tenants, partners and external groups
Such other tasks as required to ensure the success of CDMI projects and initiatives
Travel to existing and potential projects and properties as required.
