This is a career position that operates from the front lines to the executive level. The Marketing Manager (under supervision from the Director) will be responsible for elevating the retail and consumer portfolio for the company’s commercial real estate division. The Marketing Manager provides a mix of strategy and technical capability to keep engagement for Cameron high.
The Marketing Manager’s responsibilities and tasks are to:
Collaborate with the Marketing Director, Divisional Leaders, and Executive Management on marketing strategy.
Find buzz-worthy industry information to share and develop media releases to promote what we are doing in the community.
Curate content for social media and measure its growth and effectiveness.
Update website and analyze visitor traffic to present it to divisional stakeholders.
Plan, manage, and host events at our retail centres to bring in consumer traffic.
Research and report on competitor strategies and industry best practices.
Create or source visually appealing and brand consistent advertisements for digital and print media.
Manage contractors and temporary positions.
Be an ambassador for the company's values of excellence, equality, and philanthropy.
About You
Our ideal candidate will most likely possess the following (but hey, we will keep an open mind if you can tell us why you don’t).
Skills
Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools, especially Illustrator and Photoshop. Will also consider proficiency with Canva.
Intermediate experience with website CMS tools such as Wordpress.
Beginner/intermediate experience using Google Analytics.
Significant social media capability (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn and others) including utilizing scheduling platforms (Hootsuite, SproutSocial) and understanding their associated analytics.
Experience using paid ads within the above social media channels.
Experience with Google Ads.
Qualifications
At least 5 years experience in marketing roles with increasing responsibility, including supervision of direct reports and/or contractors.
Relevant Post-Secondary education.
Previous employment in the retail, residential and/or commercial real estate industry considered an asset.
Proven ability to collaborate and connect with internal leaders, external stakeholders and our customers.
Ability to balance multiple projects and make rational decisions with minimum supervision.
Must hold a valid class 5 drivers licence.
Must have own vehicle to travel to sites within portfolio.
Creativity and humour to spare.
